Casemiro – Brazil – €70M

There was no doubt that Casemiro would be on this list. The defensive midfielder is the new Brazil captain after Tite’s choice to go with Eder Militao and Marquinhos in defense over Thiago Silva.

What Casemiro has done for Real Madrid it’s unbelievable and he has established himself as arguably the best defensive midfielder over the past 5 seasons.

Federico Valverde – Uruguay – €65M

Another Real Madrid in the midfielder, Fede Valverde it’s not yet a starter in Los Merengues due to their quality in the midfield but he was one of the most trusted guys from Zidane and he played at an outstanding level in every position Zidane put him during his time at Madrid.

Valverde with only 22 years old is one of the most important players in his country and he would try to carry the amazing level of football that he showed at Real Madrid to this Copa America.

Fabinho – Brazil – €60M

Probably one of the few players that had a good season for Liverpool in 2020/21. Fabinho had to play as both, a center-back and a defensive midfielder this season past and he delivered in both positions for the Reds.

For this Copa America, it looks like he would come off the bench due to the quality that Casemiro has but he’s a reliable substitution for Tite in every game. We will have to wait and to see how the Liverpool midfielder can help his country reach its goal this summer.
