With the start of Euro 2020 finally underway, this piece tries to highlight the different players playing in various nations who might have the chance to impress the world and pull a 2016 Renato Sanches.

This list includes those who might get a handful of minutes off the bench for countries regarded as possible contenders compared to those starting for smaller nations and have already posted impressive results with their respective clubs.

So far we’ve seen what the young Azzurri are capable of after their thumping victory over Turkey on the opening night. The Top Flight already recognizes Italy’s Manuel Locatelli, who had a fantastic match before he was subbed off 74 minutes into the game.

Hopefully, there is more to come from them and the youngsters in this post do not disappoint. The stage is set for all these potential future stars to shine and make a massive step forward in their footballing career as we’ve seen many times before.
