CM – Declan Rice

The 22-year-old has been in fine form for West Ham which is why he has gradually become a regular for England.

Rice will most likely start in the defensive midfield position for the Three Lions and will be expected to replicate his form from the recently-concluded season where he helped the Hammers reach a European spot.

CM – Jordan Henderson

Most people won’t agree on this given the fact that he has just returned to action from February but when fit, the Liverpool captain should start.

Henderson isn’t the most talented or aesthetically pleasing footballer but he is someone with a tremendous work rate who can cover every blade of grass on the pitch.

He is a fairly decent passer as well and his long deliveries from deep could come in handy for England. Not to forget what a great leader he is and you need characters like that on the pitch.

CM – Mason Mount

After helping Chelsea win the Champions League, the 22-year-old will be keen on doing well for England in the Euros. Mount’s performances certainly assure his place in the starting XI and there will be a lot of expectations from him.
