Cristian Cásseres Jr. – Venezuela

As we said in the group overview, La Vinotinto is one of the teams with the best young talent on the continent.

Cásseres Jr. is the second Venezuelan named on this list alongside Yangel Herrera who is his partner in the midfield.

He arrived in the United States at only 18 years old and is now one of the most important players for the New York Red Bulls and one of the best to watch in the MLS.

He’s now 21 and has scored three goals in seven games. He is also the player with the most tackles won in the MLS this season with 29.

He’s a very interesting player with a similar playing style to Herrera and together with Tomas Rincon, they could become one of the most exciting midfielder trios at the Copa America.

Cásseres Jr. has been unstoppable in the MLS and the league is just not strong enough for him. We would probably see Cásseres Jr. in a team in Europe after this tournament and is the most likely of the lot that will get a big-club move.

Hopefully, Venezuela profits from having such promising youngsters and they can do extremely well in this Copa America.
