Lucas Martínez Quarta – Argentina

What a center-back La Albiceleste has for the future. The 25 years old took some time to get to Europe but he’s showing an amazing level at his club and for the country.

He played for River Plate from 2015 to the 2020 season and immigrated to Europe to play for Fiorentina this past season. He played 21 games for the Serie A club last term and established himself as the main center-back for Argentina.

I think that Martínez Quarta can be the player who has the biggest progression in terms of the club he leaves for after the tournament.

He’s going to be key for Argentina in their cup run. If he plays well in this edition of the Copa America, Martínez Quarta will be out of Fiorentina before the summer window closes.

I think he fits best at a club like Barcelona (connection with Messi and Agüero) and the Cules need help in their defense.

Martínez Quarta must establish himself as the rock in Argentinian defense and a move will almost be certain after the Copa America finishes.
