It’s that day. It’s the Europa League final. Manchester United face Villarreal in a very interesting clash on Wednesday. We have talked about team news, combined XI. But now, let’s get to the actual game.

There are just so many players that can have a big effect on the outcome of the game. We have Dani Parejo, who has been the signing of the season for the Yellow Submarine. His level of calmness when he has the ball is something I still can’t understand.

He’s one of the best passers in the world and is also hugely important to Villarreal’s system, and if the Spaniards are to win this competition, Parejo will have a big part to play.

We can say similar stuff about Paul Pogba. Ever since he has been assigned a new role as a “wide No. 8”, he has been one of Manchester United’s best players. It allows him to move around the pitch and do what he does best: Create.

He’s an excellent chance creator and going to be hugely important if Manchester United are to win it all.

There are going to be a lot of key battles on the pitch that will definitely have a huge effect on the outcome of the game. It was tough to narrow my list down to three.

People are counting Villarreal out already and although I agree that Manchester United are slight favorites, to say the least, there’s a reason why Villarreal are in the final. They’ve earned it, and they will go all out.

So, here are three individual battles that can decide who lifts the trophy after 90 (or 120) minutes.
