Manchester United RB Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan Bissaka Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a mainstay at Manchester United’s defense. ever since he joined the club. He has been rock-solid at the back and is rarely ever at fault for any of the goals that Manchester United concede.

He isn’t as good offensively but his supreme defensive awareness makes up for it, and then some. Mario Gaspar has been pretty decent for Villarreal, and is solid going both ways, but we’re talking about one of the best defensive full-backs in the world. Gaspar is good, but Wan Bissaka gets the nod over here.

Villarreal CB Pau Torres

Pau Torres has been absolutely great this season for Villarreal. He’s been one of the best centre-backs in the league and in general, has proven himself as one of the most sought after centre-backs in all of Europe. He has started to get national call-ups for Spain as well.

According to rumours, Manchester United are even interested in him, among other top clubs like Real Madrid. He gets the nod over both Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly, since they both are backup centre-backs at Manchester United and Harry Maguire is injured. Even if he wasn’t, Pau Torres would stay in the lineup.

Manchester United CB Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof has had a pretty underrated season. Yes, Manchester United don’t have the tidiest defensive record in the world, but Lindelof has done a pretty good job beside Harry Maguire.

His passing has been fantastic all season, he has improved on the ball, his decision making and consistency have also improved.

That’s why he gets chosen over Raul Albiol or Pablo Funes Mori. Both of them have had good seasons as well, especially the former, but in my opinion, Lindelof has been a little better.

Manchester United LB Luke Shaw

There’s no debate here. We can all have conversations about Alex Pedraza and Estupinian having good or bad seasons, but Luke Shaw has been a revelation. Solskjaer has helped him a lot this season and we’re finally seeing the real Luke Shaw. The player we all know and love.

He’s had his career impacted by many injuries, but this season he has been a fantastic two-way presence. He’s been one of Manchester United’s best players. He also picked up the players’ player of the season award for his contributions this season. He takes the left-back spot easily.
