Tottenham now at threat of finishing lower than seventh place

After the poor result against the Villains, the North London side moved down one place from sixth to seventh and are now on 59 points.

The is a big worry as they could still end lower than seventh before the Premier League campaign concludes.

Below them, Everton and neighbouring rivals Arsenal, who sit in eighth and ninth place respectively, could overtake Spurs in the standings.

The Toffees brag the same number of points as the Spurs but a better goal difference gives the London side the upper hand.

Their closest rivals Arsenal are only one point off them – so it is all to play for on the final day with Everton taking a trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City and the Gunners entertaining Brighton.

Adding to the possibility of them dropping down in the table standings, Spurs play Leicester City at the King Power.

The Foxes are involved in a three-way tango with Chelsea and Liverpool for a spot in next year’s Champions League competition. They are one of the toughest opponents to play on closing day.
