The talent of Thiago has been on full display over the last few games

The Spaniard could be peaking into Super Saiyan form, taking into account his at the stage where it looks like the game is moving at 100km/h and he is just strolling in the park, showing up all over the pitch with ease and time to spare.

His best two attributes presented so far have been his ability to act as a vacuum and suck up threats in the middle of the park and then turn defence into attack, instantly.

The fact that he keeps looking forward and passing a majority of the time into the final third with inch-perfect no-look passes, shows how fine-tuned he’s become over the last few games. In the Reds most recent victory over the Clarets, Thiago was again a standout figure.

Thiago vs. Burnley

  • Touches – 105 Touches
  • Pass Accuracy – 88%
  • Total Passes – 90 [5/7 Long Passes Completed]
  • Dribbles – 3/4 Completed
  • Tackles – 2/4 Successful tackles
  • Interceptions – 1

But this is not to say he had the best stats in every department on the night but more how he looked while going about his business and how successful he is with the right midfield partners beside him.

Calm on the ball, as if there was no opposition player applying pressure on him. At some points during the game, there were almost three Burnley players around him trying to stop him from pulling the strings – but it came with little to no reward on the night.
