A 2-0 loss to Burnley is all that Fulham needed to sink back into the Championship after 35 Premier League games this season. For Fulham, it wasn’t really a season to remember. I guess you can say the same about other teams in and around their position in the league table.

Fulham sits just one point ahead of West Brom, whose fate was also sealed in their loss at the weekend to Arsenal.

Unfortunately this season there will be no final day relegation drama to compliment what has been an interesting and peculiar Premier League season.

Fulham, West Brom, as well as Sheffield United, are sent back down to the Championship with three games still to go this season.

Although teams like Brighton and Newcastle can relax now without the battle of survival looming over them, there still seems to be a lot to play for at the bottom half of the league. Certainly not for Fulham and the others, but there are many teams with a point to prove in their last few games.

Whether it’s preparing for 2021/22 or deciding the fate of their manager, these last few games will be somewhat pivotal to a handful of the bottom half clubs. So, what’s left to play for?
