Bayern Munich wants to try and highjack Liverpool player from Barcelona
Decisions, decisions… It appears Georginio Wijnaldum will have career-changing choices to make when the summer transfer window arrives and when he departs from Liverpool.
Not long to go before the current Premier League campaign concludes and one of Liverpool’s most valuable assets, Georginio Wijnaldum, walks out of the doors at Anfield on a free transfer.
There has been a year-long contract standoff (longer than a year actually) between him and the club – with them said to have pulled out of a new long-term deal altogether once they realised nothing will convince him to stay and that he is Barcelona bound.
Reports went one step further, stating he has already agreed to personal terms with the Catalan club and has verbally accepted a three-year deal.

"Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum is ready to leave Liverpool after agreeing terms with Barcelona, according to reports in Spain. The Dutch midfielder has been linked with a switch to the Nou Camp following former Holland manager Ronald Koeman’s appointment as boss. The report claims that Barcelona are prepared to offer no more than £18million for the 29-year-old. These paper talks were then later squashed by other paper talks and it was said the Dutchman was far from agreeing to a deal with the La Liga outfit and that the contract negotiations between Liverpool and him were far from over.
In steps Bayern Munich and Georginio Wijnaldum’s final destination could change from Spain
Now, things have taken a dramatic turn in this once decided future. Barcelona could be in trouble of losing their arrangement with Gini – which in all honesty, is a very sweet deal.
Bayern Munich, who have been the far more successful of the two European giants have offered him a three-year contract with talks ongoing about his possible wages, this is according to recent reports.
This came immediately after his agent pleaded with the Bavarians to consider the Dutch international. We all know the Germans are always after the sweatest deals around.

This recent turn of events has livened up this transfer saga that appeared to be dead and settled already by the January transfer window that has passed.
If Bayern Munich does manage to snap Gini up and sign him on a free transfer from Liverpool, it would be one of the biggest highjackings for a long while.
It wouldn’t even surprise me if the 30-year-old was to stay put at Anfield and sign a new long-term deal with Liverpool. It has just been that type of transfer story.
