This is his first goal after 37 games so far this season. Better late than never they always say.

His last contribution was April 11th, where he assisted Gabriel in their Europa League win against Olympiacos.

During this period, which was a four-game stretch, it was the first time the Brazillian recorded back-to-back goal contributions.

He supplied four assists in four games, one in each game and helped Arteta to three wins and a draw. Sadly, this was his best spell all season long.

Fourteen games before his four-game purple patch he recorded one assist – only one assist!

That was his only output to add to his opening day double assist. That’s poor by his standards and rather not what we’ve come accustomed to, if we think back to his Chelsea days.

Seven assists and one goal after 37 games played and he is the player mostly behind corner kicks and some free-kicks – begging the question, does he deserve to be paid the reported £220,000 per week and does he deserve another season at the Emirates?
