Lucas Torreira will not be making an attempt in trying to impress Mikel Arteta but instead wants to move closer to home if a transfer presents itself.
The Gunner out on loan to Atletico Madrid knows the situation he is in the middle of and that a future for him at the Emirates is something of a dream now.
Having been used as a bargaining chip in a deal to bring Mikel Arteta’s priority signing in Thomas Partey has given him enough reason to move on with his footballing career.
The player is now looking for a way out of North London and the requested destination is not Madrid. Helping him solidify his decision to find a route out of Europe has been his limited game time in Spain.
Lucas Torreira to @federicobulos: “I want to go to Boca Juniors now. I am 25 years old and I know it’s a club that plays for great targets. I’d like to make the fans happy... but I know it's not easy. Boca should reach an agremeent with Arsenal for a one-year loan”. 🔴 #AFC #Boca

He is as important for Diego Simeone as he is for Arteta – not that important and would probably never be seen as a possible candidate for a regular first XI player.
