FPL Captain Pick #4 Bruno Fernandes vs Burnley (H)

In the past, I have always been cautious about captaining players against Burnley. Over the years they have been the type of team that never get rolled over easily and can grind out a clean sheet against anyone, usually being involved in low-scoring games.

However, that hasn’t really been the case in recent games as they seem to be more involved offensively, having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 6 league games.

Burnley were looking pretty much safe from a relegation battle but they are not quite there yet. Nick Pope missed out on Burnley’s game against Newcastle due to a shoulder injury although it is not believed to be too serious.

If Pope were to miss out again it would really enhance the prospects of Fernandes as an FPL asset this week. By his standards, he has been a bit disappointing from an FPL-perspective with 4 blanks in his last 6 games.

But we all know what he is capable of and this is exactly the type of fixture where he can pull off a double-digit haul out of nowhere.
