DGW26 is almost here, and it is expected to be a massive one as a total of 17 fixtures will be played out within the GW, the most in any FPL Gameweek to date.

With most of the top teams having multiple fixtures, this week provides us with a lot of standout captaincy options.

A lot of Bench Boosts(BB) and Triple Captain(TC) chips are expected to be activated this week, in this article I will have a look at the players’ who I think are the standout captaincy choices for the GW.

Considering this is one of the best weeks left to use the TC chip, I think all the players mentioned below would be worthy of being considered for TC.

5. Mohamed Salah (SHU, CHE): There was a time when everyone used to trust Salah with the armband regardless of what fixtures.

You could always bank on him to deliver and given he had been the best asset in the game for 3 years running that was understandable.

The confidence in Salah seems to be wavering a bit at the moment but he seems to still keep returning points despite Liverpool’s struggles and I feel he is being overlooked by many as a captaincy option this week.

The Chelsea game is a matchup that could suit him, especially if he comes up against Marcos Alonso, in which case you would really fancy the Egyptian.

Sheffield United is the fixture where you would expect him to return although they do not concede too many, for me personally the absence of Jordan Henderson puts me off captaining Salah for now.

On the other hand, him moving back to midfield coinciding with Jota returning to action could have been the perfect catalyst for Liverpool to rediscover their attacking prowess.

I would still back Salah to get an attacking return or two over the GW though, just because it’s Salah and we all know what he is capable of.
