Jayden Braaf bids farewell to Manchester City for the time being and will complete a loan deal with Serie A club, Udinese.

The player who has been compared to England’s bright talent, Jadon Sancho, seems to be on a similar path as the English. The 18-year-old is on route to Italy to complete his loan move with a medical taking place over the next 24 hours, to beat the deadline day bell.

If the move works out for the club, they will look to make the deal permanent. This plus the fact Man City want to add a sell-on clause could spell the end for Jayden Braaf’s City career. They are said to value the youngster at £8m.

"Manchester City winger Jayden Braaf is close to joining Udinese on loan. The 18-year-old is expected to undergo a medical over the next 24 hours. Braaf has previously attracted attention from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, who have since moved to sign Leicester’s Demarai Gray.City value Braaf at around £8million for any permanent deal and would want a sell-on clause."

More from Manchester City

A move away was almost inevitably – the player and club could not meet on a contract extension and a move away from the Etihad was only a matter of time.

"Sportsmail revealed last month that a breakdown in communication between the club and the winger has led to Braaf’s future lying away from the Etihad Stadium. (Via: dailymail.co.uk)"

A small fee for any club to pay for a player they regard as the next Sancho. If he makes a name for himself this could be regarded as some good business – but at 18 he has a lot to prove.

Talking about a lot to prove, Braaf was only able to make the cut for Manchester City’s reserves. He hasn’t and will not make a senior appearance for the English club by the looks of things.

Last season he enjoyed a good spell in the Premier League 2 — Division 1. He had 16 features, scoring nine times for the junior Cityznes. This season he has only played once.
