Yves Bissouma to stay at Amex

Since the start of the January transfer window, the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder has been linked with a move to several Premier League giants.

Despite the rumors surrounding the player, Yves Bissouma has kept his head still and has racked up impressive performances for the Seagulls.

In the 2020/21 season, the Mali international has put a shift in the defensive midfield position with 72 interceptions+tackles to his name. Brighton’s position on the points table doesn’t justify Yves Bissouma’s performance on the pitch though.

Graham Potter sounded positive about Yves Bissouma’s stay:

"There have been no approaches As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the newspaper, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true (Via: Mirror)"

Though the rumors predict a move, it is highly unlikely for clubs to break the bank on Deadline Day. Brighton value the 24-year-old in the range of £40 million but clubs are not in a position to spend that type of money.

Moreover, no club will look to depart with their star player on the final day of the transfer window, unless it’s planned well ahead and they have a replacement incoming.
