Chelsea succumbed to their sixth defeat of the season against Leicester City in Monday night football. They now lay eighth in the Premier League standings, forcing Frank Lampard to question if he will still have a job after the weekend.

It has been a bad run of games for Chelsea and Frank Lampard. The manager has come under a lot of fire from the club’s board and fans over the last 10 games, leaving the door wide open for a lot of negative criticism.

Chelsea’s last 10 Premier League fixtures

Won – 3
Drew – 2
Lost – 5

Before the Blues were on this bad run of results and lost to Everton on Matchday 12, they were running the show and were on an unbeaten run of nine games, winning five and drawing four. The sudden dip in form is unfathomable to all with him having a fully fit squad to select from.

At a time when his best are fit and at his disposal, they struggle to withstand oppositions’ attacks, create chances endlessly and be clinical in front goal – it has gotten worse over time.

With attacking options Werner, Havertz, Tammy Abraham, Hakim Ziyech, Olivier Giroud, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Christian Pulisic, they have only managed to score 11 goals in their last 10.

Over at the other end of the pitch, they’ve conceded 13 goals. This is not the return you want from a club that spent the most money in the summer transfer window.
