Second best moment – Arsenal 3-3 Liverpool; December 2017

It was one of the best Premier League games played between Arsenal and Liverpool. Liverpool were leading by two goals in the 52nd minute before Arsenal decided to step up their ante.

Within three minutes, Arsenal were level on terms with Liverpool after Sanchez and Xhaka scored for the Gunners. Mesut Ozil went on to score the third goal in the 58th minute of the game, putting Arsenal in front.

He played a one-two with Alexandre Lacazette in the Liverpool half before he completed his trademark finish beyond Simon Mignolet. What made the goal special was Peter Drury’s commentary for the third goal, including the build-up.

"What a crazy game football is. Iwobi, how the mood has changed. Lacazette, Iwobi, that’s astonishing! It’s Mesut Ozil who’s nipped it over the goalkeeper. Arsenal are walking in the winter wonderland!! What a turnaround"

However, Liverpool went on to level the score in the 71st minute through Roberto Firmino’s firm strike. Thanks to a six-goal thriller, this game will go down as one of the best in Premier League history.

It will also be referred to as one Mesut Ozil’s best against a Premier League top-four side.
