Manchester United midfielder seeking a loan move to gain some game time
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has limited Jesse Lingard’s Manchester United minutes and because of this, the player is considering his options.
Jesse Lingard is moving around in very confined space with little options to weigh-up in his Manchester career.
With game time already constricted last season and the addition of Donny van de Beek this season handing him even fewer chances, what options does he really have other than moving abroad? None really.
Adding to the insult, the midfielder hasn’t featured in any important games this season, finding game time when playing lower-division teams.

With EUROS the next major event in Europe and Lingard not getting any younger, time is ticking away for the 27-year-old who needs to restart his career.
Man United’s form has been all over the place in recent weeks. Back-to-back victories in one week followed by consecutive losses in another.
Despite the merry-go-round in results across all competitions, the Red Devils find themselves in sixth place after 11 Matchdays with a game in hand.
Their standing in Group H of the Champions League appears okay, but they are far from qualified for the round of 16. They sit first as the group’s leaders but equal on points with second place (PSG) and third place (RB Leipzig) – the latter their next opponents and last encounter on Tuesday night.
Nonetheless, with all this in mind, the Manchester club still hasn’t found importance for Jesse Lingard. Time away from the club can be the only remedy for him now.
Real Sociedad the headline name
There were many rumours in the summer that linked Jesse to other Premier League clubs as well as others across Europe. The team that was said to be close to signing him was Spurs.
A Jose reunion was on the cards, but nothing materialised for the Englishman. Now, with us a month away from the short winter window, Real Sociedad is the prominent destination being mentioned.
He won’t make a permanent move away from Old Trafford, as the venture is to help him return to his best. The club will obviously listen to permanent moves if a lucrative offer presents itself – as every player has his price.
But the club will want to see if their academy player can regain his attacking powers, powers that saw him get his England callup and saw him moonwalk the Emirates once upon a time.

He needs to make a move to get Gareth Southgate to consider him for next year’s big international tournament. Having only featured twice for Ole in the EFL Cup this season just won’t cut it.
He has played a combined total of 100 minutes of football. Two games, one started and one off the bench that saw him for as little as 10 minutes on the pitch.
The season prior he featured 40 times and contributed to a measly four goals. This could be the determining factor as into why Solskjaer has starved him of game time this term.
