4) Fulham

Scott Parker’s men are currently in safe territory but the heat could turn up for them in a blink of an eye before the new year comes in. A busy festive period is expected to take a toll on all clubs.

Fulham would have been in a better position if the club had found the back of the net through the several penalties they were awarded. They missed three penalties in three different games which cost at least two vital points.

The clinical performance against Leicester City will serve as a major boost for them ahead of the busy schedule in the top flight.

They will face Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur before the year ends apart from the other three fixtures they have coming during this period.

Can Fulham justify their hard-fought promotion?

5) Brighton and Hove Albion

Amongst the teams mentioned in this article, Graham Potter’s men are in a better position and are set for one more year in the top-flight.

The club is five points off the relegation zone and have relatively easier games compared to their rivals. The Seagulls also have an opportunity to hand out a deadly blow to fellow relegation-threatened Fulham and Sheffield, who they meet before Christmas.

The hard-fought draw against Liverpool can be an indication to others that Brighton are not an easy opposition. One sloppy moment and they have the ability to punish their challengers on the day.

Can Brighton make it to the top half by the end of the year? Possible but consistency is needed.

Final Note:

Premier League is one of the best-contested leagues across the globe, if not, the best. Today’s winner is tomorrow’s loser. A club like Arsenal is just seven points from the relegation zone and they can find themselves in a spot of bother if they continue to fluff their chances.
