After Gameweek 10, there is a surprise among the lot who are battling relegation in the Premier League. Can Sheffield United salvage their top-flight run?

The year 2020 has been full of surprises. At the start of the year, Manchester United were struggling to get things right and a top-four finish looked like a distant dream.

Thankfully Bruno Fernandes changed the club’s fortune and the Red Devils within no time after Project Restart kicked off did a 180 and finished third. Following this, fans expected Man United to start this season off with a bang,

Funny enough, Manchester United has struggled and are lagging in the race while sitting below their counterparts. Even stranger, Tottenham Hotspur leads the pack and looks like a serious contender for this season’s title.

On the other hand, Sheffield United were one of the teams hard to defeat at the start of the year but in the 2020/21 campaign, they have struggled to gather points. They find themselves last in the EPL standings. They are accompanied by Burnley and West Brom in the relegation battle after 10 games.

With the season slowly gaining steam, there are multiple teams who are staring relegation straight in the eye. Here are the top five candidates for the drop at the end of the season.

#1) Sheffield United

After a strong performance in the 2019/20 campaign, everyone expected Chris Wilder’s men to improve and put in stronger performances than that of last season.

However, things haven’t worked out their way. The club is struggling to garner points this season and are yet to register a victory at the end of 10 games.

The Blades only have one point after 10 played and have a negative goal difference of -12. The team has found the back of the net only four times and have never scored more than a goal per game.

Chris Wilder not only has to address the goalscoring issue but also has to address the defensive conundrum.

The club has already conceded 16 goals this season and at this rate, they are the most likely team to get relegated. Can Sheffield find their mojo against the Foxes in GW 11?
