Messi considers himself a nomad with no place to call home while Barcelona makes certain his exit is an ugly one.

As things stand, Messi believes he is no longer a Barcelona player and wants everything to be sorted out at the earliest possible date. From wanting the exit to happen rapidly, his farther is said to be in the Catalan state for some “crunk” talks with the club he wants to leave.

As per Sky Sports, Messi’s dad arrived bright and early on Wednesday morning in Spain on a private jet. He will probably want to end all of the madness surrounding his son. The sooner this is behind them the quicker his boy can get on with business on the pitch. As per president candidate, Víctor Font, one of the world’s greatest footballers is admitted about departing the Camp Nou.

He wishes the situation could change before the summer window shuts, but at the moment they are preparing for life without Messi. The player himself has not reported for training, making his feelings heard and felt publically, indicating to Barca this is no joke and they need to consider a transfer for the Argentine.

His club’s stance is unmoved with them wanting any possible suitor to fork out the €700m release clause owing to the club in an event of a transfer. This following the reports they were willing to take a comprised fee in excess of €250m. To no surprise, the Spanish La Liga has backed the Catalan club stating, they are more than entitled to the buyout clause inserted in the contract of Messi.

This was always going to get ugly

Was the exit of Lionel Messi from the Camp Nou ever going to be a smooth transition? One can honestly say, NO! This is because of watching how Barcelona have done business in the past, mostly displaying their true colours with outgoings and incomings.

One such example that can be used is the sale of Neymar Jr. to PSG for a record-breaking transfer fee of 222m euros (£198m) in August 2017. To say it was ugly would be an understatement. To not agree that it was poor negotiation skills shown by the Spanish side is just utter blindness and denial.

The Brazilian, at the time of his summer departure, also skipped training and got his dad involved. There was no stopping it for Barcelona. But what they cannot stop, they make an ugly situation of, leaving a distasteful feeling in the negotiations.
