Leicester City and Jamie Vardy have agreed on a new deal keeping him at the King Power till 2023.

The business completed inhouse is as important as the business wrapped up in transfers. Leicester City pulled off two amazing deals in as many days following the contract extensions of key players James Maddison and Jamie Vardy, respectively.

After just announcing that they’ve tired down one of England’s hottest young talents for the long run, the club has confirmed Vardy has penned a new deal, keeping him at the club for another three years.

More from Leicester City

"Leicester City Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jamie Vardy has agreed a contract extension with the Foxes to June 2023."

Sharing his delight the player had this to say;

"I love playing my football in front of our fans at King Power Stadium and I’m delighted to continue this journey at such an exciting time for the Club. We’ve a fantastic team that I believe is capable of getting even better and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the next few years. (Via: lcfc.com)"

Vardy has a lot to offer Rodgers

Yes, at the age of 33-years- old, the English forward is in the twilight era of his playing career, however, the striker still has a lot to offer Brendan Rodgers. It has to be said since the employment of the Northern Irishman, Vardy’s form has risen dramatically to its best once again.

The quest this season? The same as the previous one, try to find a way into Europe’s competition for the elite, the Champions League. Recently being crowned as the Premier League Golden Boot winner in the Premier League 2019/20 term, Vardy continues to be ranked among the leagues best.

If he was to move to any of the top-six he would surely give their starting number 9 a run for their starting spot. He stays fit for longer periods of the season, getting injured on fewer occasions compared to that of Sergio Aguero.

Jamie on average finishes no less than 34 games per campaign. In his last five seasons, he has hit double figures, unable to reach a 20-plus goal contribution on only a single occasion back in the 2016/17 term. However, he still managed to be the top goalscorer with 13 goals while the club still had the world-class Riyad Mahrez.

The Englishman appears to be improving with each passing season, ageing like fine wine. Last campaign, despite losing out on Champions League football, he achieved his second-best numbers as a Fox. His best of 24 goals plus six assists was back in their historical Premier League winning campaign.

We love to see more of Vardy!
