People keep asking if FPL is back and I haven’t really had an answer, but yeah, I’m thinking its back.

We have never had a turn around this fast in FPL! Usually, we spend weeks with the game stuck in GW38, followed by a couple of weeks with the ‘updating’ screen. This summer there were fewer than 3 weeks between the last season ending and the game relaunching!

We have not had fixtures announced yet (a leaked fixture list appears to be making its rounds on social media), they will be sometime this week with the dates already being released. The Premier League said no later than the 21st, which usually means the 21st.

In the meantime, we can take a look at potential bargains, rule changes and, most intriguingly, position changes. We will obviously take a full look at every team once the fixtures are released and we can assess best early options, but this will do for now.

It is also worth noting that there was a possibility of a delayed start for some teams. Those who were still in Europe (Wolves, Chelsea, Man City and Man United) could have had their 2020/21 season start delayed, as teams require a minimum of 3 weeks off between league seasons.

However, with all 4 getting dumped out of their respective competitions it is now possible that both Manchester clubs will play in GW1, even if they are given until the midweek for a little extra time. We will know for certain later this week, but for now, it’s likely everyone will be lining up for GW1 together.
