Biggest Tease – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (FWD, 205 points, 11.0m->10.9m)

Aubameyang had an incredible season by all metrics. He scored 22 goals, just missing out on the Golden Boot, pulled Arsenal into the Europa League by helping them win the FA Cup and scored a massive 205 points despite Arsenal finishing way outside the top 4. However, he was the definition of a tease!

He is so expensive so it makes it hard to get him in. Just as he was justifying that transfer with consistent returns in the first 6 games, he then had 1 goal and 1 assist in the next 6 games. Cue a mass sell-off.

He continued to be boom or bust with 13 points in GW27 followed by 2 pointers in 4 consecutive games including against West Ham, Brighton, and Southampton! He finished the season with a brace and an assist, but most people had sold him on again following underwhelming returns and a 1 point, half-hour cameo in GW35.

It must be a hard one at FPL towers, he has scored 205 points in both his full Premier League seasons, but also can be incredibly frustrating to own and is not a reliable captaincy option. So is he worth 11.0m!? I don’t know…
