The United board is keen to add world-class competition for Bruno Fernandes this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to lift his first trophy as a Manchester United manager, having enjoyed several of those type of victories while serving as a player. After a solid finish to the Premier League campaign, the plans for the upcoming term has already begun considering the tight schedule due to the three-month lockdown.

Transfer-wise, the Man United bosses are prepared to push their boundaries to sign a long-term target in Jadon Sancho, but Borussia Dortmund’s “poker” is said to be a major sticking point in allowing this deal to cross the finishing line.

Despite all eyes on the Europa League trophy, Solskjaer is keeping close tabs on the club’s transfer proceedings and is keen to voice his opinions when needed. Sancho is the priority with multiple dialogues in the pipeline, any deal could be concluded out of the blue.

Not only are the Red Devils focussed on recruting but a close eye is given on potential departures, freeing up the squad and the wage bill. And it seems a sale prospect has arrived at the door of the Old Trafford chiefs, with midfielder Andreas Pereira deemed close to an exit from United.

According to reports emerging from Esporte Interativo, the attacking midfielder is preparing for a move away from Manchester United. It is understood that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to keep Pereira but could not promise him consistent game time.

Valencia are considered to be among the potential suitors for the 24-year-old, who spent the 2017/18 season on loan at the Mestalla. Owner Peter Lim is an admirer and Pereira could be a replacement for Dani Parejo, but a deal could be tough for the Spanish side given their financial struggles.

Having signed a contract extension last summer till June 2023, with an option to extend it by a further 12 months, it would be intriguing to see the price-tag set on Andreas Pereira or if will he leave on another loan spell. The story could starting cook in a few more days.

Do you think Andreas Pereira will leave Man United?
