Can Lyon upset Manchester City’s Champions League title hopes?
A little bit of luck needed
Most teams need a bit of luck against City as they become relentless in attack. Lyon has not done too bad defensively conceding the fourth least amount of goals domestically finishing in 7th place this past season. However, The French Ligue 1 was cut short due to COVID-19 causing it not to show a true reflection of how the league could have ended.
Lyon will have to start strong, pushing for a goal or two within the first half and try to apply pressure on City’s defence. Should Les Gones score first, they must further pursue another goal before ‘parking the bus’ and hope the defenders can keep the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus at bay.

Man City has scored 15 goals in their last six matches in the Champions League, making this a tough task for Lyon but would be equally rewarding when they knock Pep’s team out of the competition.
