Most of the domestic leagues across Europe has come and gone and it’s time to tackle the next beast, the UEFA Champions League.

While facing the forced recess in football courtesy of the radial pandemic there were so many unanswered questions and no direction for anything in 2020. Domestic leagues and cups, Champions League, Europa League, everything took a back seat and played the waiting game.

Thankfully, parts of this are behind us now and what was once unclear and a shot in the dark was later gifted with a plan. To carry out this plan and take charge, the world of football needed a leading nation to show us all the way forward and execute this plan. That nation was none other than Germany and their Bundesliga. Danke Germany!

Following the Germans’ lead, Spain, England, and the Italians couldn’t let them have all the fun and picked up tricks from the former. Everything panned out correctly for all the European leagues with a stumbling block here and there.

Thanks to intense safety precautions, these small bumps encountered on the way were easy to overcome and barely derailed the execution of each league’s plan to conclude their respective leagues, which was undoubtedly the most important to overcome.

Only one league remains unresolved, but that will be decided as soon as the weekend ahead. That is the Italian Serie A. Last out the blocks at the restart line and coming in last over the finish line.

Once that has concluded, each and every ounce of focus gets spent on the Champions League and its little brother the Europa League.
