Fantasy Premier League GW38 Preview – The Final Curtain

To paraphrase a great song, ‘And now, the end is near, and so we face the final Gameweek’.

That’s right. FPL finishes on Sunday and this is your last chance to make a move up the rankings, secure your top spot or get one over on rivals.

Some people will be desperately throwing chips in the vague hope of cashing in on the madness that is always present in GW38, others will play safe. What is important is that you do it your way (you see what I did there?)

I have saved my Free Hit for this special occasion, for a free swing at the last week! Of course, I was saving it for the inevitable mass blank GW we always experience in normal FPL seasons, but this is no normal FPL season and it was not needed.

Therefore, seeing as you don’t need me to tell you who’s got good fixtures and stats generally go out the window for this week, we are going to mix it up a little this week!

First, I’ll go through some basics of picking players for GW38 and then walk you through my Free Hit squad, the XI plus subs that I think will be the biggest hitters this weekend.

Naturally, this could change by Sunday, especially as I will be scouring the internet on Sunday for early team leaks before the deadline, but it will be my team as it currently stands.
