Southampton – Fifth Place and most surprising team
Results: W-L-W-W-D

This was probably the hardest choice of the lot despite it being an easy picking for the top five Premier League clubs. Why was fifth place hard to pick? Burnley has been as good as the Saints, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

The reason why Sean Dyche doesn’t make the cut, they scored the least amount of goals in their games compared to the others here, and the Clarets got hammered by the previous English champions 5-0. The Saints efficiently survived a shark attack by the Citizens, beating them 1-0, calling it the clash of that weekend.

The Saints over five games

  • Points – 10 Points from 15 Points
  • Goals scored – 8 Goals
  • Goals conceded – 4 Goals
  • Clean sheets – 2 Clean sheet

Ralph Hasenhüttl’s is proving to be a top contender in the league after twerking things his way at St Mary’s. They now sit in 12th place in the Premier League standings. This could be their best finish in three years, as they still have a small chance of finishing in the top 10.
