The Egyptian did what he always does and creates chances by drawing out defenders, it’s unfortunate that Firmino had such a quiet game because he’s usually the one that does all the dirty work.

Firmino has had a quiet season so far scoring only 8 goals and providing 7 assists in 32 matches, which would be considered a not so great season for the Brazilian. Over the last couple of matches, he hasn’t had that spark and swagger that the Liverpool faithful have come to love, and it showed against City. With him being the main supporting link in the attacking chain, he would have to up his game next season as well as for the remainder of the season.

Mané, Mané, Mané what happened? The Senegalese forward was completely out of it. Missing opportunity after opportunity, not finding his feet, this was one match he should wipeout of his memory. Clear cut chances that could have given Liverpool the lead, which ultimately summed up the match for the Reds, it was not just going to go their way.

Liverpool needs to finish this season off strong, actually its a must. They can’t show any weaknesses going into next season especially since Klopp announced that no summer signings will be coming in.

That statement will hit fans even harder now after this horrendous loss to their rivals and probably one of only a few teams that can knock the Reds off their throne.
