Spoilt for choice, Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish wanted by both Manchester clubs now.

Jack Grealish will be a man with options when it comes to the summer window. This officially lets us know, the Englishman will be on his way out after the season concludes.

For a couple of transfer windows, United was the only Manchester club in for Grealish, but now steps up Man City and throws their name in the hat. As per reports, the Citizens are looking to use funds from their Leroy Sane sale to Bayern Munich.

If they get what they are asking for from German champions, they will have enough funds to make substantial buys. They will be able to counter offer whatever their neighbours’ bid or what other transfer rivals put down.

More from Manchester City

"Manchester City will consider Jack Grealish as a summer target should they receive their asking price from Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane.Grealish is expected to be the subject of bids when the Premier League season ends, with Manchester United also watching his situation at Aston Villa as they battle to avoid Premier League relegation. Positions to be filled for Man City

Man City need to find suitable replacements for David Silva and Leroy Sane. The former will be calling an end to his City career while the latter is looking increasingly likely to leave for Germany.

Grealish would make a pretty good stand-in player for the departing Silva. Adding fuel to the fire, Pep Guardiola has already spoken highly of the Aston Villa man and thinks he is one of the best midfielders in the league.

This will cause major problems for Ole Gunnar Solskajer and his club’s transfer plans. Grealish is a priority target for the Red Devils and I doubt it highly they are willing to lose him to their noisy neighbours.

This gives the impression there will be a bidding war for the player, with Villa profiting the most from this. His value will rise if he continues to perform until the end of the season. So they could bring in a lot of cash to start their rebuild. He is a sale that must be made by the club.
