Leroy Sane’s move to German champions Bayern Munich is complete. The Premier League waves Bye-bye to the winger.

The exact reason why Bayern pulled out of signing German striker Timo Werner and allowed him to join Chelsea. The 30-times champions of the Bundesliga had their sights set on the winger and the winger had his eyes on the Bundesliga prize.

After winning their eighth consecutive title, one can only expect them to be favourites to get their ninth in a row now that they’ve added Sane. The deal in place for Leroy is said to keep in Germany until 2025.

More from Manchester City

The fee is a massive steal and represents fabulous business on Bayern’s side. They will pay £44.7m for his services. A player of his calibre normally prices over the £100m mark. There were talks of a swap deal that included David Alaba plus cash. However, that was seen as an unrealistic deal for the Munich club.

The player joins up with some of Europe’s elite and forms part of what will potentially be one of the deadliest frontlines across Europe. He will line-up with Robert Lewandowski, Alphonso Davies, Thomas Müller, and Serge Gnabry, just to name a few.

This also eliminates any ideas of permanent moves for both, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perišić, who are on loan from Barcelona and Inter Milan, respectively.

Man City need to find an adequate replacement

Exciting to see who Pep Guardiola and Man City find to fill the gap and take up the big space left by Sane. They will need to try to score a deal like the rip off they just endured.

Now that he is gone and David Silva is on his way out, there is a lot of space to fill for Man City but it’s a while before the new season starts. So there is no rush for the previous Premier League champions to find their new Leroy Sane.
