Liverpool will need to add more depth in the up and coming transfer window to compete in all competitions next season.

The Reds have finally lifted the Premier League title, but their ambitions shouldn’t stop there. They need to add some extra players to strengthen the squad, especially in the attacking department as well as defensively.

Liverpool needs cover for Salah, Mané and Robertson at left-back. With James Milner in the twilight era of his career, he can only do so much. Lallana is on his way out, Clyne’s contract ends at the end of the month and Shaqiri could also be deemed as surplus to the Anfield side.

Some of the Reds loanees have also impressed, Harry Wilson at Bournemouth and Marko Grujić at Hertha Berlin, who will be coming back at the end of the season. Whether Klopp decides to utilise these players will determine who he buys in the transfer window.

The problem is Liverpool already turned down the option of acquiring the services of Timo Werner, stating the price was just too high or perhaps it was just that his salary requirements didn’t match what the Reds were willing to pay.

The Merseyside team need to invest, especially now that they have obtained some cash from winning the league and with the new Nike deal coming into effect in the new season, Liverpool fans will hope that some recruits will join this already strong team.

Some transfers rumours have been going around so we take a look at potential players that can join the Reds next season.
