Florian Wirtz – Bayer Leverkusen

Florian Wirtz is the Bundesliga’s youngest player to play a match this season. He has made 6 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen’s senior side in the Bundesliga.

At only 17-years-old, he mainly plays for the U17 and U19 squads. Wirtz has made the most of his minutes with the senior side. He recently scored his first goal for Leverkusen’s senior side, becoming the youngest one to do so.

Although Bayer Leverkusen’s upcoming match is a must-win, Wirtz could be featured as a substitute after a couple of solid performances. If Bayer Leverkusen decides to start the young German, he would likely play alongside Kai Havertz and Leon Bailey.

Premier League clubs should watch out for Wirtz as he will soon breakout. With the potential departure of Havertz and Bailey, Wirtz will be getting more opportunities.

He can soon become the next top tier, young talent, and transfer to a Premier League club. Though that will not happen anytime soon, Wirtz’s career is looking ever so bright.
