Man United get to strut their stuff and open our eyes to what could be in the near and far future. They take on Spurs in the Premier League Project Restart.

The second day and the first round of double-headers for Matchday 30. We have a top-six clash that involves Jose Mourinho’s old club Man United and his new club, Spurs. The two will meet for the final match of the day in the Premier League’s Project Restart.

The wait is over. No matter how many times you say the words, it just doesn’t get old. There are many matches to look forward to during this period, one of them being tonight’s humdinger. If Man City’s 3-0 win over Arsenal and David Luiz’s outstanding performance for a red card is anything to go by, we are getting ready for a great start to the weekend.

With football back to its dramatic best already and normality already setting in, what is the one thing different from all other Matchdays? Man United and Spurs have an ill-free squad… YIPPEE! This adds fuel, paraffine, and chlorine trifluoride to the fire.

More from Manchester City

It gets you more excited but most importantly, we get to see if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a good manager for the Red Devils. He has no excuses and cannot refer to Sir Alex Ferguson, and the way the Scottsman’s United played compared to his. On the other hand, we also get to see what Jose has done in this time away with his new club.

Man United’s monstrous midfield

This is what we’ve all been waiting for to see, Manchester United’s fearsome midfielder. A fully fit United side means both Marcus Rashford and long overdue, Paul Pogba are up for selection. Firstly, the latter hasn’t played since December 26, making only seven appearances for the season.

Secondly, this will be the first that Pogba could potentially play alongside January signing Bruno Fernandes. It will be good to see what Ole does in this clash. He’s complained far more often than not about lacking depth, and not having his first-choice outfielders to pick from. Now he has it, so what’s he going to do with it?

Will the Norwegian go with an industrial 4-5-1 or 4-4-2? Or will he go with the attacking 4-3-3? Whatever the choice, there are some big decisions to be made by the Old Trafford boss. Too much of something can sometimes cause a headache.

What about Spurs?

Say it loud and say it proud… Harry Kane will start! I don’t know if the report was supposed to strike fear into the Manchester hearts, but it definitely got me excited for what’s about to go down later tonight.

Adding to the fiery announcement by Spurs, Mourinho has his Son back. Another player who has benefitted from the forced break, as he was injured and was set to miss the entire season. So a double boost for Jose, as he still tries to overcome his old club that he departed from on a sore note.

The last run out between the two ended 2-1 to Ole and his United side. Revenge is on the card for one club, and an opportunity to do the double for the other. The stage is set and stadiums soldout with advertising banners.

Everything being named and mentioned just adds more letters to the word excitement. Before the game starts the thrill metre will be on más EXCITEMENT!
