The one-club man – Jamie Carragher

Duration: 1996 – 2013
Appearances: 737 (All competitions)
Current team: Retired

Liverpool’s second longest-serving player, coming straight out of the academy, Carra made his senior debut in1996. Originally a right-back, the tough as nails Englishman eventually was moved to a centre-back position after Rafael Benítez took over in 2004.

Switching positions was the best thing that happened to the centre-back, where he had flourished for years to come. Always dedicated, wearing his heart on his sleeve, Carragher had elements of the old school defenders, never pulling out of a tackle making his presence known.

To the Pool supporters, his loyalty was what they loved about him the most which ultimately reflects in his accomplishments at the club. After seventeen years of service, Carragher won two FA Cups, two Community Shields, three League Cups, one Super Cup, two UEFA Cups and the memorable 2005 Champions League which was held in Istanbul.
