In the midst of a great individual campaign, there is speculation on where Jack Grealish will be playing in the near future.
With Aston Villa currently sitting in the relegation zone, it seems inevitable we will see Grealish join a new side in the coming transfer window. Jack Grealish has earned a big transfer with his form this season, and his team’s position does not reflect his efforts.
He currently has seven goals and six assists, along with being one of the most creative players in the premier league. He is also one of the hardest players to dispossess, leading the league in fouls won as a result.
Manchester United have looked like the frontrunners to sign the English attacker, and it would be a great addition to the side. They are also in the running for other players, such as Jadon Sancho but could use Grealish, regardless if they were to sign the Borussia Dortmund star. The lineup fit is hard to predict as it’s unknown who else United will add in the coming window.
If he is to be the only major signing, without anyone leaving, he could line up on the right-wing but truly play as an extra midfielder with a free-roaming role, similar to the one Isco Alarcon occupied at the height of Real Madrid’s recent success.
Here we look at how this would benefit both Grealish and Manchester United.
