How Timo Werner and Roberto Firmino can coexist at Liverpool

Added depth
To go with adding versatility, the inclusion of Werner gives Liverpool added depth. With the African Cup of Nations currently scheduled for January 2021, Salah, Mane, and Keita could potentially miss time if their nations are to qualify.
With Werner in the squad, it will be a much smoother task lining up without them as he can go to the wing and Firmino can reclaim his spot as the team’s striker. The same would apply for any potential absences to injury throughout the season.
Firmino joining the midfield would give Liverpool endless options of substitutes, good for adjustments, and squad rotations. Despite all the dominance this year, there have been times where the bench has lacked offensive reinforcements to inject late in games.
If Liverpool are to be in another competitive title race with Manchester City in the coming seasons, it’s crucial they have the squad depth to match that of their rivals.
There is still the worry of an extended absence to any of the front three derailing their season, and the addition of Werner would go a long way to preventing that.
