The subject would never be a debate between Man United fans and if they would change Ole Gunner Solskjær for Jurgen Klopp. All of them would take the Liverpool manager in a heartbeat, based on his recent success.

The discussion arises because of Klopp’s successor at Mainz, who was reported saying Merseyside wasn’t his original destination. In fact, Klopp was infatuated with the idea of moving over to their oldest adversaries, Man United.

The Liverpool Echo reported Klopp’s predecessor at Mainz, Eckhard Krautzun, remembered a conversation he had with him about England and what club would best suit his desire in the Premier League. To our surprise, it was Manchester United.

"I’m not surprised he does so well,” Krautzun told The Set Pieces about Klopp. It would be his dream to go to England one day and his favourite club would be [Manchester] United. That’s what he said.I said, ‘Jurgen Klopp, if he goes abroad, if he goes to England, his love would be Manchester United.’ (Via: Liverpool Echo)More from Liverpool FC“Dreadful” Liverpool defender was shunned for being “miles off” vs WolvesLiverpool: Jurgen Klopp’s agent FINALLY addresses rumours he’ll leaveLiverpool will rival Manchester City for colossal Premier League defenderLiverpool are advancing in talks to extend the contract of “top professional”Liverpool lose captain for a further game after ban extended for “abusive” language"

There was once a time Jurgen Klopp was looking for a new post before the Liverpool one became vacant. He was at the top of many teams’ lists across Europe’s top leagues. Most imagined United was the team that would get him with things on a massive downwards trajectory.

Instead, there was a lot Brendan Rodgers, Louis van Gaal, Ryan Giggs, Jose Mourinho and most importantly, a lot of destiny.

What would have been for Klopp

When looking at the turmoil both clubs were experiencing, one on a long run of trophyless seasons and the other, getting used to life without Sir Alex Ferguson. There was no doubt the most successful duo in England were enduring challenging times.

If Klopp had joined the Red Devils, we would have witnessed an early departure of Louis van Gaal and no Special One unveiling. We can’t really declare their seasons under Louis and Jose were complete failures. Since the van Gaal era, they have at least won the FA Cup, Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League. But the biggest two missing remains absent and far out of their reach.

This is what Klopp has brought in his time and would have brought to Old Trafford, probably a lot sooner considering they throw big amounts of cash out at new players. Yes, the Premier League is two fixtures are from heading back to Anfield (if they win), but this is the success both clubs sweat blood and tears for.

Now United must watch in envy and hope none of their records are broken while they play catchup to both their immediate rivals, Liverpool and Man City. It has not been fun to endure for most of them, but endure they must.

Klopp and Liverpool – Match made in heaven

Twenty-five points clear in the Premier League. A Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, and the inevitable English champions medal. A love story between him and the fans, as well as an absolute understanding between him and the owners FSG.

This is what would have gone on at Old Trafford. There is no denying Klopp is one of the geniuses of our generation and wanted by all. He has been the defibrillator in Liverpool’s come back to life.

The ride has not been smooth, but the ride has rewarded them. He has brought out the best in players like Jordan Henderson, Andrew Robertson, and many other players who were pushing borderline average, but are now among the Premier League best.

Next. August 29 is looking good to conclude the season. dark

The saddest day for all who loves the Premier League is when he announcing his retirement from Merseyside and the Premier League. It will be highly unlikely Klopp would join another club because of his loyalty standing at 100.
