The forced break and lockdown restrictions in Europe is bringing out the good and the bad of football clubs and their players. Thankfully it’s been mostly the good, and when it’s not satisfying enough, the fans let their feelings be heard.

COVID-19 has called into action practices unthought of and unheard of. The last measures similar to these were taken when the siren of World War Ⅱ rung. Not a shot a fired this time but the casualties are those most vulnerable again.

Several weeks running into the state of emergency, we have seen certain plans come in play and efforts taken to aid those fighting the Coronavirus face-to-face. Of the new methods, pay cuts in players’ and managers’ salaries have taken the front page to help those who are not playing staff at the club.

More from News

The first reports coming from the Vitality Stadium with the announcement Eddie Howe took a cut in his wage. Now it appears all have followed suit. Besides this, Henderson and co across England have taken a great initiative to help England’s NHS, who let’s face it, need the help more than anybody else in the country at the moment.

Afore this the biggest U-Turn by American owners FSG

The biggest u-turn I’ve seen in a long while in the space of 24 hours was Liverpool’s owners FSG, who opted to go with the decision to furlough staff. The fans of Merseyside had their say along with some of the players, who were left “frustrated” with the news.

After loud calls from the public were made, calling on Fenway Sports Group to do the right thing, they did exactly that and followed suit. After news swept vastly over the league, Spurs money-hungry owner Daniel Levy jumped on the same bandwagon FSG initially did.

He too was called into question by the people of North London. Will he change? He is tighter than a clam holding a pearl. You’d be lucky to get water out of his rock. However, as previously mentioned, these times are bringing out the best in some of the worst characters.

The North London boss was announced as one of 550 members to be taking a pay cut at Spurs. Now that’s the wagon you need to be catching a ride on!

Next. Liverpool fans can smile. dark

Hats off to Hendo and the rest of the boys

God sent. The players putting together the #PlayersTogether funding for the medical sector is a blessing any country could use at this time. Hopefully, there are more than just sportsmen who openly fund our health and services worldwide.

A round of applause is far from suitable and enough to acknowledge the work they are doing together for a greater cause. Hats off to the boys around England!
