While we’re all stuck at home, let’s try to have some fun by listing out the 5 Premier League managers we would want to be quarantined with.

I’m sure if you’re reading this right now, you’re at home, perhaps at your desk, or on your couch, or perhaps even in your bed. This is the sad reality that most of us are facing at the moment, being stuck at home to play our part in preventing the spread of the deadly COVID-19 to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.

If you’re reading this I’m also going to assume you are missing football right now. Honestly, I personally would do anything to be watching Wycombe vs Blackpool right now!

Anyways, all of the quarantine memes flying around the internet these days has made me think about this whole situation in the context of the Premier League. There are some really interesting managers in the league right now, so I’ve picked 5 of them that I think we would all love to be quarantined with – regardless of whether they manage one of your club’s rivals or not. For example, Arsenal fans might hate Jose Mourinho, but does that mean they would pass up the opportunity to talk to him, and perhaps ask him some questions and learn some of his methodologies? Of course not!

Let’s get started:

The Youngster: Mikel Arteta – Arsenal

This was a bit of a wildcard pick for this list, in my opinion. Mikel Arteta is new to management and has only been at Arsenal for a few months, but he’s on this list largely due to his age. If you’re under the age of 40, like Arteta is, then he is probably the manager that you would relate to the most, and be able to talk to the easiest. I bet he would love a round of FIFA or to have a chat about some new trend that dinosaurs like Roy Hodgson or Steve Bruce would never understand.

Also, Arteta has a fantastic footballing mind and discussing his transition from Manchester City assistant coach to Arsenal manager would be fascinating. His interviews have also been very honest thus far, which gives me the impression that he is a very open individual who would be wonderful to have a chat with.

Oh also, you’d be lying if you said you weren’t dying to find out what sort of hair product he uses…
