Arsenal are in need of some attacking help but probably don’t have a lot of money – here are 4 young, cost-efficient options that they can chase this summer.

With yet another season without Champions League football looming, along with significant losses in matchday revenue due to the COVID-19 football postponement, it’s safe to say that we probably won’t be seeing Arsenal compete for any massive names in world football during the coming summer transfer window.

Of course, we expected the same thing last summer but were proven wrong when Arsenal made a huge splash to sign Nicolas Pepe, but again, another season without Champions League football is going to put an even bigger dent in their financial health, which means the more time passes, the less they will be able to complete massive transfers.

Therefore, it’s likely that Arsenal will be after some bargains this summer to bolster their starting XI. They seem to have their sights set on younger players in particular, and with ageing star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being linked with a move away and Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette in poor form, it makes sense look towards the future.

While we all know Arsenal need help in the backline and in midfield, they also have issues in the forward line – or at least they will if Aubameyang leaves especially.

They have no left-winger capable of dropping into the half-space on his right-foot to link up with teammates and create chances, which is what Nicolas Pepe does on the opposite flank. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been shoehorned into this role, which subsequently leaves a gap in the centre-forward position, especially when Lacazette isn’t in great form. This is why many were surprised to see the club let go of Alex Iwobi on deadline day last summer. Although the Nigerian is an average player, his style of play suited the role Arsenal need on their left-wing.

Ozil is also not getting any better, and it would be prudent for the Gunners to search for a replacement ASAP.

Therefore, I have put together a list of 4 players who I believe would cost less than £30 million each, that Arsenal could target this summer in any of the attacking roles apart from the right-wing, where Pepe has his spot on lock (so LW, CF, AM).

So without further ado, let’s list out the 4 players:
