Champions League: The Top 10 Finishers By The Numbers
Another Dortmund player sits at 15th in one of my rankings. What do I have against them?
I cruelly ruled one of their players ineligible on a technicality and the failure of the web having readily available advanced statistics from Austria. Really, I have nothing against die Borussen.
15. Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund
14. Son Heung-Min, Tottenham
13. Robin Gosens. Atalanta
12. Kylian Mbappe, Paris St Germain
11. Riyad Mahrez, Manchester City
Son and Mahrez both appear on this list. Sadly for Spurs fans, Son is out for the season as Jose Mourinho has now started throwing players under that parked bus. Mahrez appeared in the top 10 all-around attackers list, which leaves me the question: why does it seem that people forget how good he is?
Mbappe appears on this list as was also ranked in the top 10 all-around offensive players list from my previous column. In the previous ranking, the French star was docked points for having a low degree of difficulty for playing in Ligue One.
I did not add a degree of difficulty based on the opposition in this ranking, as this is a ranking heavily emphasizes individual performance more than team and opposition abilities.
