There are a number of reasons why Dortmund comes in as a bigger favourite compared to their rivals Munich. the biggest reason for them being who they defeated on the night.

PSG has some voodoo over them or something. Another Champions League round of 16 where they find themselves in the thick of things. Always a strong contender for UCL glory is PSG. Although, going down against BVB proves they still got a long way to go.

The next reason Dortmund are favourites is that they boast the competition’s second-highest scorers, Erling Braut Håland. Sitting second to the injured Robert Lewandowski with 10 goals, the striker has been immense during his maiden UCL campaign.

Also aiding in BVB’s quest for glory is the addition of Emre Can, who has slipped seamlessly into the side. He has experience in the competition after making it all the way to the finals with Liverpool when they lost to Real Madrid two seasons ago.

Jadon Sancho, Axel Witsel, Marco Reus are just a few names this amazing BVB squad.
