The opener of Saturday and Matchday 27 is a mammoth clash between Chelsea and Tottenham for the all-important fourth place in the Premier League standings.

Chelsea only has themselves to blame for being in this Champions League threatening situation, as they come up against Tottenham with only a point dividing them. In the wake of them never really finding a rhythm since the year turned 2020, Chelsea is still in search of their second win this year.

They face off against a team who clawed their way back into the fight for European football and have certainly rescued their campaign. But this Spurs side is still licking their wounds after their weekday defeat on home soil against RB Leipzig.

That, coupled with the fact they are battered and bruised with injuries to key players, gives them little confidence heading into this one. Chelsea sweats an injury concern of one starting player only. They also enjoyed some extra time off the pitch, adding needed rest to those doubtful.

The odds are stacked up against Spurs. It’s Jose Mourinho first trip to Stamford Bridge where he will take on his first Premier League love, Chelsea, and one of his legendary players, Frank Lampard.
