A week the English will want to forget about instantly after failing to meet expectations over the two nights of Champions League ball. Spurs totally outplayed and Liverpool sucked dry from creating chances.

The Champions League Round of 16 is already halfway through its course with two English Top Flight clubs losing their individual fixtures by one goal to zero. The champions of Europe who always has an answer or two for a single-goal game had nothing to say against a determined Diego Simeone side.

Meanwhile, Spurs endured a tantrum show while getting owned on home soil against a team led by one of the most fearsome frontmen in the game today. EPL clubs CL results – 1st leg

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Liverpool
Tottenham 1-0 RB Leipzig
