The Italian stallion with his own set of hair on his head has made a great first impression since taking over. Barring one fixture, he has almost gone unbeaten in his EPL tenure to date.

Everton’s climb up the table is all thanks to Carlo stepping in and taking over. He has already improved their goalscoring record and is two shy of Silva’s 16 for the season. This was done in only eight fixtures.

Doubling up on the improvements, the Italian renaissance has two clean sheets already. One more and his on par with Silva’s record. Yes, there are a couple of matches where he was totally let down by his newly adopted club but it’s going to happen a lot more I believe.

Under Carlo Ancelotti

  • EPL Appearances 2019-2020 – 8 Games
  • Wins – 5 Wins
  • Draws – 2 Draws
  • Losses -1 Losses
  • Clean Sheets – 2 Clean Sheets
  • Goals Scored – 14 goals
  • Goals Conceded – 9 Goals

Those matches include the second derby for the season in the FA Cup competition and the 2-2 draw against Newcastle, where they were leading by two goals until the final minutes of extra time, only to lose it in under a minute of football left.

But these glitches will take place, and its the recovery that’s more important than the occurrence of the hiccup. The real test is around the corner for Carlo. The next trial will determine if he is the man to take them to early success (which is being involved in Champions League football). Or if he still has a long way to go to improve his side.
