Another January has gone, another window closed, but some things never change.

West Ham might have swapped stadiums a few years back but little else has transformed – and the London club yet again are faced with relegation fears in February.

Relegation would be catastrophic for the East Londoners. After years of questionable spending and handing out hefty wages, the club could find itself in a financial mess the likes of Portsmouth and Bolton experienced recently, unless this window has an impact on their results positively.

West Ham’s last 5 Premier League Results

West Ham 3-3 Brighton
West Ham 0-2 Liverpool
Leicester City 4-1 West Ham
West Ham 1-1 Everton
Sheffield United 1-0 West Ham

A lot of the blame has fallen on the club’s much-maligned owners and executives led by Messrs, Gold, and Sullivan.

Whatever said and done, they did open their coffers to desperately reinforce a badly balanced squad riddled with injuries. Yet, the big question remains; will it be enough?
